Title : The Chris Brown Rihanna Saga Continues

Category : Music

One Line Summary: Rhythm and blues Singer Chris Brown faces two felony charges.

Description : The 19-year-old, world famous entertainer, Chris Brown, is facing serious charges stemming from his alleged altercation with his girlfriend, pop superstar Rihanna. On Feb. 8, Brown was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and has remained free on $50,000 bail, as reported by E! Online. The altercation allegedly caused both Brown and Rihanna, or Robyn Rihanna Fenty, to miss their scheduled performances at the Grammy Awards. The situation and the backlash from it have caused an uproar of attention from people all around the world. According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, Brown was officially charged with two felonies, one count of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, and one count of making criminal threats. The L.A. Times reported, “When officers arrived, they found an injured Rihanna and Brown’s rented Lamborghini, but no sign of the R&B singer.” The Associated Press stated, “Brown's arrest has been ! a dent in the “Run It!” singer's squeaky-clean image, and compelled sponsors to drop him or not renew his deals.” Wrigley gum is one of these sponsors and according to Reuters UK, Wrigley said in a statement it was “concerned by the serious allegations” made against Brown, thus suspending his campaign “temporarily.” Chris Brown is innocent until proven guilty, but one thing is for sure, we have a Hollywood Scandal on our hands, folks.
